I'm thinking about replacing mission 752 with a 753 model....
Turntable is very close to the speaker making feedback.
Który jest królem?
Thats so badddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd
I'm presently listening to your video with my own 6900. I just hooked it up today after it sat for 4 yrs. Outstanding! My Adcom setup was lacking . I think it needs recapping.
1:01 -- Citadel Motors My Father bought a 1981 Buick Park Avenue here. I always lijed how tte showroom was on the main level and the repair department was in the "basement" because of the slope of the hill.
Daft place to leave your sleeve. Lesson learned, I hope.
Hello, I have a Sansui G8700DB. I want to buy a Sansui CA3000 to use in the pre-stage and the G8700DB as power for its 160W. Will this be good?
great
I love these. I had an ex whos dad has these. Always thought they sound very alive. Use them as fronts for my home cinema now. I havent used my subwoofer for over a year. I have much more expensive B&Ws that are better but I also really really love these Missions. They do really well on most amps I have and on all volumes, even very quit at night.
i can't watch this. i'll effing cry. sam the record man! when i was in young drivers, and we had to plan a drive, i planned a drive from sackville to sam the effing record man in downtown halifax to pick up a cd i'd ordered from that huge catalogue they had plopped on what looked like a pulpit. now it's all gone.
Home.
4:56 -- My house is _almost_ visible. This is St. John's (Anglican) Church. The yellow building on the left partially obscured by the traffic sign was, in the 1990s, being used by various businesses (Century-21 real estate, Rainbow Distributing, a broadcasting school). Next-door is the former Rectory, which by the 1990s was divided into three apartments/commercial units. My house was located just two doors further down the street, at the foot of Central Avenue.
❤❤❤❤❤
The worst cracks and pops I've heard. Terrible
Hi friend. At the end of the vinyl, this TT lift needle? Or it continuous scraping on vinyl?
it will go continuously, it is a manual table, it will not lift unless the lift is used. I hope that answers your question. www.vinylengine.com/library/sansui/sr-838.shtml
@@hamiltonontkeith thanks for the information!! 👍

Hi friend. At the end of the Vinyl, This TT lift the arm?
Are those stands the Brauns are sitting on actual Braun stands made for the L1030s? They look great. I just acquired a pair but it didn’t have stands with them. Does it make a difference in sound with or without stands? I seen some of your videos with them on the floor.
I prefer having the height of the L1030s mids & tweets slightly below my ears when sitting, roughly 3 or 4 inches, the dynamics in soundstage is much better I find. The stands were custom for a different pair of speakers
This is a nice demonstration of the differences between the sounds of the two amplifiers, but I would also like to compare vocals, such as Karen Carpenter, between the two.
Is there a particular song by Karen Carpenter?
It's the little things, you know? I kinda miss those big ridiculous crosswalk signs
You think they will allow the drag races back on the downtown streets again
The roads look different now compare to 1990. Roads have widen and bridges had been replaced.
love this
2:01. Who wants to see this now in 2024? Oh wait. It's just a field now. Nevermind Edit: the same goes for 2:13
Clear as a bell, perfection.
Odd to think by 1989 I figured the good pub crawlin’ pot smokin’ times in Halifax were long gone.
Track 1: “Horizontal” Track 2: “Slow Blues in G”
Hi, do you think Luxman is a good match for them? Have you tried out other "sonic signatures"? Eg, european (philips, grundig, braun, revox), american (fisher, marantz, dynaco), british (nad, quad)
The song should be taken out of the video, sounds so ridiculous and dated.
the song is great and the lyrics make sense
@@xentrix89 One of the lyrics was literally "I can hate a queer". It is literally a hate song.
@jordach545 could be interpreted that way, but another interpretation is "these are all the things society is telling me I must do though I don't necessarily agree with them"
Funny, I'm from Hamilton and live in Halifax, I want to stay here! Been here for three years in the north end jamming with the local vagrants.
The Deportation of the Acadians came about as a result of Acadians not signing an oath of alliegance to the British who had a legitimate claim through the Treaty of Utrecht of 1715; it was the same with the Micmac who were mercenaries for the French and who also broke a Treaty with the English and who used to sell English scalps to the French at Louisbourg for 10 livres apiece. The military action that greeted Cornwallis and the settlers was known as Father LaLoutres War. It was the third governor after Cornwallis who eventually expelled the Acadians who did conduct a vicious guerrella war against the English. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation creates our revisionist history. An American Dramatist/Propagandist, H.W. Longfellow, who created the weepy tale of Evangaline that passes for our history which for the most part is untold or grotesquely distorted.
Hi, do you find any difference playing them vertically or horizontally?
Any town that prospers during war and declines during peace-time is a town built on death. Sounds like bad karma for that town!! But I'm sure it's a friendly place now, it's Canada!!!
Was playing in the Nova Scotia Tattoo around about then. Fun times! Would do a set at the Tattoo, know how much time before we went back on again, so we'd run across the street to the Split Crow for a triple margarita. We'd be juiced by the end of the night by the time the tattoo was over. Couldn't do that now at my age.
I wish you had adjusted the Akai frequencies before you started recording. And comparing an integrated Akai amp to the Sansui separates seems a bit one sided based on the amount of electronics and probably the cost of each. But, thank you for the video, it was very enjoyable.
I have a 7871 and man these are great recievers! The sound quality is unmatched.
i like this sound...would love to here some pink floyd and mark knopfler on them
I have the M5si, which I find excellent through a 120 watt Sansui.
Jennifer's of Nova Scotia & Lawton's are STILL in the same spots on SGR lol
This video is between 1990-95. I'd say it's between 90-93 because that is the Moosehead Grand Prix if I'm not mistaken. The vehicles also show a lot of early 1990s models which I'm familiar with such as the Chevy Lumina that went from 1990 for about a decade. Good old video though. Pretty cool to see stuff I remember.
At the 9:30 mark, in this video, the white building, on the corner of Queen & Spring Garden was 1989. 1990 is when they started demolition, to rip it down. You are right about everything else. Thanks
@@hamiltonontkeith The footage is an amalgamation of a few years. The car is a Chevy Lumina, not released until 1990. I'd say that the video is covering a time span of a couple of years at the least. Very cool video though, with lots of memories :)
Amazing, no groups of indian immigrants dividing themselves against the actual citizens.
The power output indicator doesn't deflect 😆
The power meter indicators are moving slightly, at the 3:30 mark on the video, you will see they are moving. The power knob is only at 2
👍
Beautiful
There's my Halifax!!! Love the late 80's vibe, feels like I'm back with my Grandma going to McDonalds on Portland Street :)
Keith you have the best audio gear brother can we get a vid of the gear update brotha! Love your vids inspired me to get a SANSUI 😂
Hi,the sound of this amp is really? for the rock and the image and stage is well?
Excelente hamilton ❤
linn turntable is still a good carrier for vinyl reproduction
Halifax needs much much much more bike lanes .
